Bicileta is slot by Yggdrasil gaming, released to co-incidence with the Euro 2016 football cup(soccer for you Americans out there). The name comes from a special kick in football, that is for some reason translated into Spanish. Quite a strange decisions, but perhaps all the other names were already taken. The Euro cup is over(congrats to Portugal) but the game keeps on kicking. So how does it play out?

The Four reels of nothing and basic game
This slot comes with four rows and five reels, which is quite an unusual setup. It’s not the first time I’ve seen it though, and of course any change is always welcome as long as it makes the game more interesting. The problem here is that the game is not more interesting, and there seems to be little benefit from the four reels. In fact none at all, apart from scattering the paylines even further and that’s hardly a benefit. The bet value in the game ranges from 25 cents per spin to 75 euro per spin.
Besides the few famous world start featuring in the reels the basic symbols are the familiar color codes from a deck of cards. On top of this you have the wild, represented by the word wild, the free spins symbol which is a football and the trophy symbol that gives out coins or free spins. The graphics are not bad by any means, though same can’t be said for the music and sound effects which I’d describe as bland. The basic game rolls out like any other slot, with occasional wins both small and large.
Free spins, trophy and wilds
The main problem with Bicicleta slot is that it doesn’t really have any features that would make it different from any other generic slot. It is basically a generic slot with a football theme. The features that do exist give you either free spins or coin wins. Below is a quick recap on the wilds, trophies and free spins:
- Wilds – substitutes any symbol except for free spin and trophy. Free spins mode also adds sticky wilds into the game.
- Trophy – can only land on the 5th reel. In the base game the trophy awards either 8 to 12 free spins, or up to 1000 coins. During free spins the trophy awards either 2-4 free spins, up to 1000 coin or the wild reel feature.
- Free spins – three or more trophies on the screen awards from 8 to 24 free spins. During free spins all players that land on the reels might become sticky wilds that stay on the screen until the end of free spins. If the trophy lands on the 5th reel it can activate the wild reel feature, which turns all symbols on one reel into wilds. Can land on reels 1 to 4.
Summary
Yggdrasil has no shortage of good and excellent slots, but Bicicleta is not one of them. It has the graphics, sound, and changes to the traditional slot set up, but it fails to deliver anything that would interest players. Give this one a skip and play something a bit more exciting instead.
