|Online Slot Machine||Break Da Bank Again|
|Slot Provider||Microgaming Casino Software|
Break Da Bank Again might seem one of the least impressive titles that Microgaming has put out, but that’s only if you go by its looks and the layout which has only 9 paylines on 5 reels. Check out its features, and you will discover wild symbols which multiply payouts by as much as 25x during the free spins, or the scatters that can trigger the feature. Payouts of up to 375,000 coins are possible inside, their top value being at $375,000. The game is inspired by a bank robbery, and the “Again” part of the title signals that it’s a sequel. The first title of the series was even simpler, a classic version with only three reels.
Theme & Design
The developers didn’t make much of an effort with this particular title, but that applies only to its graphics. You have a dated design, which mixes playing cards with bank related images. You also have the poker letters on one hand, which have no special design to make them appropriate for this particular theme, and then there are also the images with gold coins, gold bars, vault doors, precious stones and cash. It’s far from an impressive sight.
The soundtrack is made up out of standard slot machine sounds, and even the background noise gives you the impression that you’re on the casino floor, with other players spinning reels on their machines in your vicinity.
Betting Options & Prizes
The entire bottom line of options can be used to modify the value of your bets. Starting from the leftmost position, we have the coin value first, adjustable through the buttons placed underneath. This one goes as high as $1. Next, we get the Select Lines option, where you can pick between 1 and 9 to be active that round. The Select Coins button is for the line bet, letting you use 1 to 10 coins for it. Bet Max allows you to quickly get to the maximum wager of 90 coins, but it doesn’t modify the coin denomination that you set. Finally, there is the Spin button, which will get the game going as soon as it’s clicked on. The top value of the bet is at $90.
A 1,500x multiplier for the line bet wouldn’t sound like an impressive prize normally, and in this case it would bring you at most $15,000 cash. It might sound like a decent prize, but when you consider the $10 line bet required for it, or the low number of lines which reduces your chances of getting a win, it’s not such a hot payout. The way to improve this prize is through the slot’s multipliers, which can take it to $75,000 in the base game, or as high as $375,000 during the free spins.
Wondering what kind of payouts you can actually expect in most cases? The set of low paying symbols, which sport playing cards on them, will pay 50x to 90x if you get five symbols with them on a payline, while the minimum of three symbols will pay 2x to 9x.
The wild symbol in this game uses the slot’s logo as its representative. Landing one of these symbols on a payline, and with the rest of the required symbols for the combo in place also, will bring you a new win. The value of that combination’s prize will be at 5x the usual value, thanks to the presence of a multiplier that is applied by the wild. A wild symbol will only act as a substitute for a regular symbol, not for a scatter.
The only other major symbol to sport a feature is the scatter, its image being that of the Vault Door. As a scatter, the symbol’s position on the reels is less important, as long as it is present somewhere. The presence of 3, 4 or 5 Vault Doors will trigger for the player 15, 20 or 25 spins for free, respectively. All free spins get a 5x multiplier, which can combine with the 5x multiplier from the wild, for a total of 25x.
One extra free spin is awarded for each additional Vault Door that appears on the reels as the feature is in progress, but you will not get the original number of free spins if you land once again three or more such symbols.
What Makes It Special
There are plenty of things that aren’t unique in this game, but there are some impressive multipliers as well, at least if the stars align and you get a wild to help out while in free spins mode. If that happens, payouts as high as $375,000 are possible, and even the slot’s least valuable symbol can bring $12,500.
As with most other 9-liners, this is a high variance slot. It can be attractive for bonus hunters because when you’re playing a game like this, you either win big (potentially very big) and easily complete the bonus WR, or go bust trying. Unfortunately you will usually go bust. However the games poor graphics and low rtp (under 96%) make this an undesirable slot otherwise.
