New look PokerStars Women’s Live Schedule

PokerStars Women’s PCA

The new look PokerStars Women Live schedule makes this the perfect time for poker playing women everywhere to get their first taste of European Poker Tour action, with a full schedule of women’s events inked in for the new EPT season.

Regular players might notice a couple of changes this year. There’s a new buy-in of €200+€20 for each event for a start, and an increased $500+$50 and €500+€50 entry (to be confirmed) for the PCA and Grand Final respectively.

What’s more, weekly satellites will give players the opportunity to win a package to each EPT women’s event, whether it’s to the beaches of Barcelona, Spain or to the grandeur of the Grand Final in Monaco next spring. Most importantly, all this starts for as little as €1.

The new satellites mean you can win a seat and package for just a few Euros, with satellites at €1, €5.50 each weekend, and a €55 freezeout every Sunday at 14.00 ET. The latter has a guaranteed €550 Players Choice ticket up for grabs.

If you ever doubted the level of competition in EPT Women’s events, just look back over some of the results from recent years.

At the PCA last January Fatima Moreira de Melo finished third in an event ultimately Won by Kathy Saraf, who was making a little bit of tour history winning a tough heads-up battle against Elena Stover to take her second PCA women’s event title.

The year before that Corina Lupascu saw off the likes of Xuan Liu and Jamie Kerstetter to take first place, while back on European shores top women players such as Liya Gerasimova and Team PokerStars Pro Leo Margets have had their hands on PokerStars silverware. It’s not uncommon for Team Pros Liv Boeree and Vanessa Rousso to make regular appearances, so as far as PokerStars Women Live events go, they really do separate the women from the girls, so to speak.

Actually, that would imply a kind of mean spiritedness when in fact these events prove to be the most good-natured events to play in anywhere, welcoming new players to the fray as well as regulars and old pros.

Once you’ve got your hands on a Players Choice ticket simply choose which EPT festival you’d like to travel to. Don’t like the heat of Barcelona in the summer? Try Christmas in Prague. Like an excuse to go see some shows? Try EPT11 London later this year. Have a fondness for fine food and the odd glass of wine? It’s what New Year in Deauville was made for. If you win a ticket the choice is yours.

You’re not limited to European based events either. Anyone with a Players Choice ticket can use it to play the Women’s Live events at both the PCA and the Grand Final. Both are likely to have a higher buy-in, but multiple ticket winners will be able to cash in a ticket in to cover the cost of the package. Our plan is to be as flexible as possible to help you travel to the events you want to play.

The next satellites are this Sunday. By Monday morning you could be booking your flight to Barcelona, Spain, Prague or even the Bahamas. Not bad for just €55. Just be prepared for the likes of Miss Saraf, Gerasimova, Margets and Lupascu to have a say.
