Special Features
There’s certainly no shortage of special features in this game. Players can trigger a wild feature if they land the princess icon on the first position on the second, third, and fourth reels. This is a big ask, but it can see you win double your total courtesy of a 2x wild symbol.
Land 3 or more door symbols on the reels to trigger a simple click and win bonus. In this basic bonus round, players can select from a number of doors to pocket prizes until they locate the collect sign.
The main wild bonus in this game is the Gladiator Smash feature. When a gladiator lands on the third reel, it will trigger this wild reel feature. The hero will walk out on the screen and fight until the entire reel goes wild. These wild symbols cannot substitute for click and win bonus icons, or coliseum symbols.
Prepare for Battle feature
If a player lands the hero, coliseum and villain icons on the first, second, or third paylines on the second, third and fourth reels, they will trigger this bonus. In it, gladiators will do battle, and you can attack to kill your opponent. The better you do, the larger your cash prizes will be.
Final thoughts
Gladiator is hardly a revolutionary slot. Its features are certainly enjoyable, even if they are quite notoriously hard to trigger. This won’t trump Playtech’s slot on account of it being difficult, and non-progressive. It could still be worth a look, though, especially if you want tip-top graphics in your online slot games.
