The first of a new breed:
Playtech are finally coming out of the shadows and waking up to the fast changing times in the online gaming industry. Players and reviewers alike are getting more and more demanding. We are demanding higher Return to Player percentages and Playtech have delivered it with Sinbad’s Golden Voyage paying at a very generous 97.01%.
Here at Slots Guide we suggested Playtech start investing in some more obscure or older TV and movie licenses and lo and behold, they are set to release their massive Top Gun slot at the end of November. Sinbad’s Golden Voyage on the other hand is based upon a somewhat lesser known movie from 1973.
We have been hoping for some innovation from Playtech and they have duly obliged with a great looking and completely unique 6 reel, 164 line slot machine which is set to be a huge hit. As you would expect, this is quite a generous game. The 97.01% RTP is definitely noticeable when compared to some of the tighter Playtech slots. The base game pays as you were, but the free spins feature seems to drop in a little more frequently and seems to be far more consistent in giving you decent payouts (75x to 150x stake are very common).

Free spins is where the money is at. Not only is there the expanding Sinbad wild from the base game, but an extra Leviathan wild is added randomly to three reels. The prospect of big wins is very real.
Ash Gaming
Why does this slot not look very “Playtech” you may ask, what’s been going on? Well we can tell you that this is actually a slot designed by their partner company Ash Gaming. We are hoping for big things as these two sets of developers really get going!
Overall Verdict
This is definately the best Playtech slot to be released this year, maybe the best for a couple of years. But this is only the start of it. As our discussions with Playtech continue, we are getting more and more excited about what is set to come in the near future!
