Battle of the Gods is a 25 line Playtech slot with an RTP of 94.04. It is basically an identical clone of the Marvel jackpot slot “X-Men” (the 25 line version of X-Men). The gameplay and features are identical, even the RTP is the same (X-Men 25 lines is listed at 95.03 but take away the 0.99% contribution to the progressive jackpot and you end up with the same RTP for the base gameplay).

So from the video you can pretty much see what this slot is all about. Now the X-Men slot is one of our least favourite of all the Marvel slots and Battle of the Gods with its darker theme and confusing icons/characters is even less appealing than X-Men so it’s never going to be a favourite of ours. The RTP is weak for a non-progressive slot so there’s not much to play for here. We would suggest if you enjoy the gameplay on offer on this slot then you might just as well play the X-Men slot instead as you have the added draw of the jackpot to play for.
Update: Playtech are replacing the Marvel Jackpot slots series with The Age of Gods progressive jackpot series due to Disney not renewing any gambling branding licenses. We do wonder whether or not this Battle of the Gods slot will be joining the progressive network? It certainly makes sense to us, in fact it would be a completely missed opportunity as Playtech are remaking most of the Marvel slots in a god theme so while this slot has been around for years, the theme fits perfectly to be the new replacement of the X-Men slot. Or perhaps Playtech already had this in mind for a number of years now? We know that they only applied for the Age of Gods trademark last year so it may be a chicken and egg scenario!
